Location

Chase County is located in the heart of the scenic Kansas Flint Hills

  • 17 miles west of Emporia
  • 70 southwest of Topeka
  • 65 miles northeast of Wichita
  • 120 miles southwest of Kansas City

From Kansas City (I-35 South)

  • take I-35 south to US Hwy 50 (last Emporia exit)
  • take Hwy 50 west 17 miles to Strong City
  • the Prairie Fire Inn is located on Hwy 50 in Strong City - accross from the Rodeo Grounds
  • directions to other events will be provided at the Prairie Fire Inn

From Topeka (335 South, Kansas Turnpike)

  • take Hwy 335 south and exit at Emporia
  • take US Hwy 50 (first right after tollbooth) west 17 miles to Strong City
  • the Prairie Fire Inn is located on Hwy 50 in Strong City - accross from the Rodeo Grounds
  • directions to other events will be provided at the Prairie Fire Inn

From Wichita (335 North, Kansas Turnpike)

  • take Hwy I-35 north and exit at Cassaday
  • take Hwy 177 north to Strong City
  • at Strong City do not follow Hwy 177, but proceed north (up the hill) to Hwy 50.
  • take Hwy 50 west 2 blocks to Prairie Fire Inn (on your right accross from the rodeo grounds.)
  • directions to other events will be provided at the Prairie Fire Inn
