At Prairie Fire Inn and Spa, we use spa not to refer to a Jacuzzi/hot tub, but in the more traditional, broader sense of a place of relaxation, restoration, and healing. Currently, all treatments offered are hands-on treatments performed by nationally certified massage therapists.

Proprietor Rachel Creager Ireland has had approximately 750 hours of training in massage therapy and energy healing, as well as nearly ten years of experience in a wide variety of massage therapy and spa settings. She received her basic training at Chicago School of Massage Therapy, which included Swedish, trigger point, and sports massage techniques. She also received advanced certification in Myofascial Massage Therapy (also known as deep tissue) at CSMT. She has also studied energy healing with renowned clairvoyant and healer Rosalyn Bruyere.
Rachel has brought massage to corporate offices, sports events, chiropractic offices, industry expos, salons, and spas. She has worked with conditions from chronic headaches to plantar fascitis, as well as AIDS and fibromyalgia, to name just a few. Rachel is very pleased to offer her services at Prairie Fire, where guests can enjoy the spacious, airy treatment room and relax in the peaceful reception area. Says Rachel: "The open landscape of the Flint Hills provides an excellent setting for quiet reflection. Through the songs of crickets, cicadas, and mourning doves, you can hear the voice of your own heart."
